Give Me Liberty of London

Thanks to Robin for letting me know about this! MAC's new line of cosmetics is called Give Me Liberty of London, named after the famous textile house, and all items in the line feature a charming design...based on William Morris' Strawberry Thief! When the line comes to the U.S., I definitely want to get something...perhaps a makeup bag or a lipstick.

this is so fabulous! liberty's of london is my favourite for so many reason-love the tudor building the big store is in and all the levels-a dream! one level is just for the fabrics-the liberty prints and is overwhelming. i have only been a few times and can only get a few yards of fabric or stick with quilt quarters-it is too much! the museum area is in the lower level(and the sale stuff!). until you can get there(which will be soon!)this is amazing. lots of of etsy shops sell liberty fabrics too.

Hello Grace

Ever since I was a teenager I have been wearing Liberty of London ties. It was sad to see on a recent visit that they have dropped virtually all of the paisley and Morris patterns which have been a staple for the last forty years or more.

Could you get in touch with me about the listing for your Beautiful Neccessity blog on the William Morris Society website? We're also organizing a BIG event in October, a conference "Useful & Beautiful: The Transatlantic Arts of William Morris and the Pre-Raphaelites," with exhibitions, talks, Arts and Crafts demonstrations, etc. in Delaware.

Best,

Merle, I do so hope I get to go there someday. I'm worried we're going to have to visit England for a month to get in all of the spots I want to visit! :D

Mark, what a pity about their dropping Morris' patterns! And I'll definitely be in touch!
