In one of my standard searches of Flickr keywords, I came across this artisan making handpainted dolls from Waterhouse's artworks. So cute!!
The Lady of Shalott:
The Magic Circle:
She notes on her comments that the two dolls aren't done yet, but they're looking great!
I love how the Lady of Shalott doll is looking to the side and not straight ahead.
ReplyDeleteYes! With her lips slightly parted like the real Lady. What a delight :D
ReplyDeleteOooh, I love them!
ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting idea! It's amazing how many different ways there are of celebrating the Pre-Raphaelites!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Margaret: I´m very amazed to see how the Pre-Raphaelites still inspired many people nowdays and how they are celebrated in so different ways!!!
ReplyDeleteWish you a Merry Christmas!!!:)
So true!! I would have never thought to create these dolls, but aren't they wonderful?
