"Items from Kelmscott - two examples from the 'Legend of Goode Wimmen' tile series, the 'Acanthus and Vine' tapestry, St Catherine embroidered wall hanging, and Jane Morris’s jewel casket - will be displayed alongside items connected to William Morris from the Society’s collections at Burlington House, including his certificate of election to the Society in 1894." Hummm, I am tempted but.................why are all the protagonists American?
You know, Natja, it's been so long since I've read it I didn't even recall that fact!
I like its premise but sometimes the cultural differences become so obvious that it becomes distracting. I would really like to take part in the book group though so I may just give it a go anyway if I can source the book over here.
