Rossetti's Wombat

Thanks to a post on the ArtMagick forums for this tip. There's a new book out on the subject of Rossetti's pet wombat. I love the idea of a book that approaches the Brotherhood from such a quirky angle! Hopefully I can obtain this book somehow.

Your connection with the medieval and the Pre-Raphaelites is I feel through past lives and that is why they are some fundamental to who you are...we are all interconnected in more ways than we remember!

As an opera producer I would cast you Violetta in La travita or Mimi in La Boheme, although the red hair stereotype suggests the feisty Musetta.

Thank you for the Rosetti's Wombat reminder. I came across this story as a passionate Pre-Raphealite follower in my early 20s as a student in Birmingham,

With love and light,

Piutrar

Thank you, Piutrar! I feel quite honored to be mentioned with such fine ladies :)

Wasn't Rossetti a quirky fellow? :)

I just finished a wonderful read entitled "Lizzie Siddal, Face of the Pre-Raphaelites," fascinating book, which mentions Rosetti's fascination with animals, especially wombats!

Next up is "May & Amy, A true story of family...and Sir Edward Burne-Jones." I'm sure that will be just as entertaining!

Oh, the Lizzie book was wonderful! You'll be so glad you read it! I actually just ordered one on Fanny Cornforth as well! Review to follow!

I didn't realize it's only available on amazon UK. Hmmm, I will probably have to wait, but it sounds great.

Yep, sadly this probably means it'd be impossible to Inter-library loan here in the USA. I'll have to rely on foreign reviews I suppose.
