Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon...and the Brotherhood
Just a quick update today, but I had to share this amazing find, discovered by my friend Maudelynn. Yes, someone actually did a Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon that includes the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood. Please click the image to check it out! My favorite part is how Rossetti is at the center of almost everything.

Two William Morris-Inspired Projects
Today I'm sharing two projects by modern artists inspired by the work of William Morris.
First of all, thanks to Mezzky for sharing this Kickstarter artst's project, creating a found-art installation based on Strawberry Thief. All of the individual pieces of this artwork will be jewelry, and be able to be worn individually.
Second, artist David Mabb created this self-portrait based on a famous photograph of Rodchenko taken by Mikhail Kaufman. In Mabb's version, the production suit worn in the original artwork is covered with William Morris wallpaper patterns.
Original photograph inspiration:
I don't know what Morris would have thought of these projects, but it is still interesting to see his work inspiring modern artists in two very different mediums today.
